What's included in a Multi-State Criminal search?

Do you verify database hits, or just report them?
Multi-state criminal record “hits” are verified with a statewide or county-level search before they’re reported, which is part of why a report may take longer than an instant, unverified database pull.
How is a County Criminal Check different from a Statewide search?
A County Criminal Check searches records at the local courthouse level. A Statewide search broadens that coverage to the entire state – useful when an applicant may have lived in multiple counties.
Does a Federal Criminal search cover the same things as a state check?
No. It’s a separate search of U.S. federal district courts, covering federal offenses like tax evasion, mail/wire fraud, drug trafficking, and immigration violations – it does not replace a state or county criminal search.
